FrogLog is the amphibian conservation community’s news source for all amphibian conservation-related matters. The latest issue of FrogLog magazine, June 2026, can be downloaded here.
Parties interested in amphibian conservation are invited to read and contribute to FrogLog. We welcome submissions on amphibian conservation research or implementation of conservation actions. Publication in and access to FrogLog is free of charge, and past issues can be accessed in the Archives section.
The Global Amphibian Assessment (GAA) sharpened the scientific community’s focus on both the nature and extent of threats to amphibians worldwide. This book is a product of the Global Amphibian Assessment, and therefore owes everything to those who contributed directly to that process, and indeed who continue to do so. In particular, this product would not have been possible without the expertise, knowledge and enthusiasm of the more than 500 herpetologists who contributed their time to the data collation and review process. This book is a testimony to the dedicated efforts of these individuals and their unstinting passion for amphibian conservation.

State of the World’s Amphibians
The State of the World’s Amphibians: The Second Global Amphibian Assessment is a comprehensive synthesis of the current global status of our planet’s amphibians. Following on from the analysis of GAA1 data in the book Threatened Amphibians of the World, this report presents an in-depth analysis of the GAA2 data and details the threats amphibians are currently facing.
The report highlights the urgency at which we must now act in order to halt the current extinction crisis. It also identifies opportunities around which coalitions of governments, organizations, and individuals can come together to conserve these amazing creatures and their habitats at scale

Amphibian Conservation Action Plan
The Amphibian Conservation Action Plan (ACAP), the first taxonomic class-level plan of its kind, was first published in 2007, updated as a digital online resource in 2015, and a third thorough status review update in 2024. It aims to act as a road map for amphibian conservation at the global level, and is used as such by the ASG, the Amphibian Survival Alliance (ASA), Amphibian Ark, and other conservation and funding organizations.
The updated ACAP Status Review was released on 23rd July 2024, and is available here.
The ASG has launched the ASG Webinar Series in May 2024, an initiative designed to bring together experts, researchers, and enthusiasts from around the world to discuss amphibian conservation. This exciting program covers a variety of topics including recent research findings, conservation efforts, and outreach initiative. Past and future webinars can be found HERE
